I-E-PLANEX: Individualized Education Plan Executor
The R&D seeks to build an Internet-based application which will facilitate the execution of the IEPs of K-12 autistic students with a wide range of skills. The application will be based on a novel combination of media conversion techniques, use of standard based markup languages and synchronization of time sensitive media objects. It will allow matching of learning resources to learning styles, provide mechanisms and tools to implement IEP accommodations, and provide home-school communication tools.
The anticipated application (I-E-PLANEX: Individualized Education PLAN EXecutor) is a group communication and media object processing system which allows controlled access to a learning-styled resource database system, multiple media objects and tools for manipulating the objects, a testing system, and a daily planner with multiple types of media entries.
