We invite applications from college students (sophomores and above) to fill internship positions with us as wells as positions at Government agencies. Be on the lookout for our advertisements on CBCampus and MonsterTrak for current openings and opportunities.
NIST Advanced Technology Program Competition
Learning Scope's project entitled "Multicast and Bandwidth-Efficient Devices for Universal eLearning" was selected in the gate 1 competition of 2004 NIST ATP competition
The project seeks to make e-Learning universal through novel approaches consisting of
(i) software multicast with bounded delay, (ii) encoding of A/V data as selectable learning objects that yields variable bitrates, and (iii) integrating software multicast with multi-channel rate control to disseminate data among participants in a virtual classroom at bitrates that match their respective line speeds. The devices to be developed will facilitate the construction of learning platforms that meet standard QoS latency requirements and data rates where learners
with varying line capacities can dynamically be constituted into a virtual classroom
